  if you're still unsure about the hotline to heaven (aka fds), then have a laugh at this truly pathetic story being circulated by the dubs - comments from stephen lett of the groaning body - see below.. to summarise lett's mind-control ramblings:.

  angels are directing jws in the ministry - of course!if you don't answer the door - god will kill youif you don't listen to us - god will kill youbrainwashing of minor children is a real winnercalling on empty houses may seem like a waste of time - but to dubs it's the work of angelsfor the bethel drone monitoring this post - wake up and smell the coffee, before you're made to leave your cosy brooklyn office and hack the streets calling on empty houses.. you can be sure lett will be right behind you!.

  District Convention Observations

  i accompanied my jw wife to one day (sunday) of the district convention this weekend.

  for any who are interested, i offer these observations from the sunday afternoon session:.

  the concluding talk was given by a gentleman by the name of steven lett, a member of the jw governing body.

  Need suggestions... how do I respond to my elders?

  so our fade is not going so well.

  too many people have been asking about us, and therefore giving us attention.

  we've had no choice but tell select few friends that we're discouraged, and one that we're having a hard time believing the fds in general.

  to me it seems they are on the rise!

  Why I will NEVER be an elder again

  so the po confirmed what many on this board already know.

  at latest round of co to elders meeting, the co quoted from the society outline.

  any elder or ms who encourages college for his kids or others or who allows his children to go to college will no longer qualify.. he then asked if i was going to take the cos encouragement and reach out again to be an elder and get my hours on the ministry up.. i replied "i will never be an elder again - i strongly approve of further education and college and have been through college myself.

  The End of Circuit Overseers

  is indeed apparently nigh as another poster predicted along with the end of the weekly bs.

  not sure when this should take place but i'm reliably informed by a family member that one of the uk's overseers was talking about it fairly recently.

  reduced to weekend visits by an outside but local elder instead.. i have no further info..
